Rituals et cérémonies
Rituals and ceremonies are powerful and mysterious acts that often transcend the bounds of common understanding. They allow practitioners of magic to explore unknown dimensions, probe the stars and forces of the world in search of greater knowledge, and sometimes even accomplish extraordinary feats. However, these acts are not without risks and require meticulous preparation.
If you wish to organize a ritual at a Pact event, you must first submit it to the organizing team before the communicated deadline for each event (usually 2 weeks before an event). Here is what you need to send us:
The Reason
Why do you wish to perform a ritual? What drives you to explore beyond the safe and known boundaries of magic?
The Intention
What is the objective of your ritual? What are you seeking to accomplish? Be precise in your intentions and describe in detail what you aim for, as well as the potential risks you are willing to take.
The Costs
Provide a comprehensive list of all expenses and sacrifices for your ritual. This includes Ingredients, Resources, Components, Coins, Mana Points, Faith Points, skill charges, Health Points, quest items, and any other required elements.
The Minimum Requirements
A standard Astromancy Circle requires at least 1 Rare Arcane Ingredient and 5 Mana Points per target. Investing less than 10 times this amount or its equivalent will result in assured failure. Ensure you meet these minimum requirements to avoid any mishap.
The Source
Identify the sources of magic you will be drawing upon for this ritual. The four most common sources are Alchemy, Alliances, Astromancy, and Relics.
The Protocol
Describe in detail your methodology and the procedure of your ritual. Each step must be clearly defined to ensure everything proceeds as planned. A well-crafted protocol is crucial for the success of your endeavour. Include sketches of your plans or images of your accessories if desired.
The Location and the Time
Mention the desired location and time to perform your ritual. The organizers reserve the right to contact you to adjust these parameters to accommodate the scenario.
The Consequences of Failure
Venturing into the unknown is intriguing but also carries significant risks. A ritual gone awry can have catastrophic consequences for the ritualist, participants, witnesses, and surroundings. Death is not always the worst scenario; magical disruptions and curses can have even more devastating effects.
